PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
WVCA Professional Achievement Award
The WVCA annually recognizes a volunteer manager within the organization that receives the Professional Achievement Award. This award is given to someone who is nominated as being an outstanding manager of volunteer services, is a leader among peers, involved in the community and a resource to other volunteer managers. This award is given each year at the WVCA Annual Conference (May 7-8, 2020, in Madison, Wisconsin). The award recipient will receive from WVCA a personal gift, free registration to the current year WVCA state conference, recognition at this year’s conference, and a monetary gift of $100.00 (check) to the charity of the winner’s choosing.

The Professional Achievement Award is given to someone who is nominated as being an outstanding manager of volunteer services, is a leader among peers, involved in the community and a resource to other volunteer managers. Criteria includes:
• Attendance at the May 7-8, 2020 Conference
• Paid volunteer management position, in their field for five years or more.
• Outstanding manager of volunteers: this may include achievements in recruitment, screening, training, retention, recognition, fundraising, or initiating new programs. Indicate the manager’s years of experience and the number of volunteers managed.
• Leader among peers: this may include member/officer of a professional organization.
• Involved in their community: this may include service as well as job duties.
• Current WVCA member as of February 29, 2020. (You can email to confirm the nominee is a registered member).
• Resource to other managers: this may include consulting, seminar speaking, or member of a community coalition/organization.
